Synopsis: Anna and the French Kiss – Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she’s less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.
Review: The book tells the story of Anna Oliphant, an american girl who, despite she has all his life organized in Atlanta with her family, a job she loves and a potential boyfriend, is sent by his father to a boarding school in Paris to attend his last year of high school.
Anna is inconsolable, wailing all the things she left behind against their will, but soon she knows Meredith, who becomes his friend, and the beautiful and intelligent Étienne St. Clair – an american with a french name and an irresistible english accent.
Quickly Anna starts to adapt to her new group of friends and to increasingly Étienne. The only problem is that he has a longtime girlfriend, and does not seem inclined to leave her.
Between homesickness and the findings of the new city and his new friends, Anna discovers that this year in Paris is, more than anything, a journey of discovery about herself. And after so many agreements and disagreements, it only remains to know how’s this famous French kiss.
My print :
I did not have much expectation about this book, I don´t know really why, but I thought that it would be some silly history, but I was surprised with an amazing trip to Paris! While reading the book I had this unique feeling to be walking those amazing streets of Paris and I really think that I almost know how to locate me there! It’s incredible!
The relationship between Ann and Étienne is very real, with all the mismatches that a young couple really has. I always like this reality in novels. And the autor goes beyond, interspersing all the troubled family relationships that young people goes through.
The narrative is also very good, exciting .
Who you never want to be sent to spend one year in Paris ?
Take me, please!!!
It’s worthwhile to be read. I strongly recommend to all! I just loved it! ❤
